Plus Hex #10348 is a Square Dance. It was devised by Vic Ceder in about 2015. It is a 6 Couple Circle dance. There is no progression in this dance. The dance lasts 32 bars.
This "Square Dance" actually starts in a hexagon rather than a square, a useful formation if you don't have quite enough people for two squares. Figures are modified so that a move which normally goes all the way around the set only goes two thirds of the way, and a figure which normally goes half-way now goes one third, etc.
Vic Ceder was very patient with me and explained the basics, and then explained again when I got confused. And then explained again when I did it wrong.
The animation plays at 120 counts per minute. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color.
An online description of the dance may be found here.
The dance contains the following figures: hand turn (allemande), circle, allemande round, promenade round, right and left through, ocean wave, swing through (and probably others).
If you find what you believe to be a mistake in this animation, please leave a comment on youtube explaining what you believe to be wrong. If I agree with you I shall do my best to fix it.
