Caravan Crossing

Caravan Crossing is an English Country Dance. It was devised by Brooke Friendly/Chris Sackett in 2004 and published in Impropriety Vol. 1. It is a Square dance. There is no progression in this dance. The dance lasts 48 bars.

Friendly & Sackett use the term "1st diagonals" for the person on the left of a couple and "2nd diagonals" for the person on the right. They say that the terms "Larks" and "Ravens" aren't established in the ECD community. While this may be true, I find "1st diagonals" too long to speak, so I use "Larks" and "Ravens" in the calls.

The animation plays at 120 counts per minute. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color.

The dance contains the following figures: gypsy, hands across, hey (and probably others).

If you find what you believe to be a mistake in this animation, please leave a comment on youtube explaining what you believe to be wrong. If I agree with you I shall do my best to fix it.
