Gingerbread

Gingerbread is an English Country Dance. It was devised by Brooke Friendly/Chris Sackett (website) in 2012 and published in Impropriety Vol. 5. It is a 3 Couple Circle dance. There is no progression in this dance. The dance lasts 32 bars.

Everyone is across the set from his/her partner.

Your first corner is the person immediately to your partner's left, your second corner is immediately on your partner's right. Your third corner is your first corner's partner (diagonally across the set), or your partner's 1st corner. Your fourth corner is your second corner's partner.

The animation plays at 120 counts per minute. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color.

The dance contains the following figures: hand turn (allemande), turn single, siding, corners pass and turn (and probably others).

If you find what you believe to be a mistake in this animation, please leave a comment on youtube explaining what you believe to be wrong. If I agree with you I shall do my best to fix it.
