This figure begins in a balance in line position along the 1st diagonal. The active couple is in the middle with right hands to 1st corners and left hands to partner.

1st corners balance in line, 2nd corners set to each other, actives do 1 bar of balance in line and drop hands with corners, then left hand turn to 2nd corners.

2nd corners balance in line, 1st corners set to each other, actives do 1 bar of balance in line and drop hands with corners, then left hand turn to 3rd corners.

3rd corners balance in line, 2nd corners set to each other, actives do 1 bar of balance in line and drop hands with corners, then left hand turn to 4th corners.

4th corners balance in line, 1st corners set to each other, actives do 1 bar of balance in line and drop hands with everyone and return to places.

History

The first dance I can find containing this figure is The Maple Leaf Rant, the author of which is unknown, and the date is estimated by be 1952~1953.
