Crown Triangles

The active couple starts back to back in 2nd place, woman facing up, man down. They take hands with their corners, and set. In the next bar the actives rotate around each other 90 degrees to face out on their own sides while the corners turn in place by 90 degrees to face into the set. Take hands and set for 1 bar. Then the actives rotate 90 degrees clockwise (active man facing up) as the top corners face down and the bottom face up. Take hands and set for 1 bar.

History

The first use I could find of this figure occurred in various dances by Douglas Henderson, published around 1960. One is Baldovan's Reel published in Baldovan Set Dances, 1960
