Fogg's Fold

Fogg's Fold is an English Country Dance. It was devised by Victor Skowronski (website) in 2015. It is a proper Duple Minor dance. The minor set lasts 16 bars.

The A part is the same as Tenth Anniversary Idyll

Victor defines his Mad Robin Hey as an "interlocking hey for three, but always facing partner". I assume an "interlocking" hey is what Gary Roodman calls an "interwoven hey", where the 1s dance a hey passing their own 2s, and the next 2s, while the 2s dance a hey with their 1s and the next 1s. Everyone sees a different set of three people in the hey s/he dances.

Victor's hey is slightly different in the everyone is always facing his/her partner rather than the direction of travel.

The animation plays at 120 counts per minute normally, but the first time through the set the dance will often be slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color may change each time through the minor set.

An online description of the dance may be found here.

The dance contains the following figures: hand turn (allemande), set, cast, poussette, chevron, hey, interwoven hey, hey for three, mad robin (and probably others).
