Turning by Threes

Turning by Threes is an English Country Dance. It was devised by Gary Roodman (website) in 2003 and published in A Finite Set of Calculated Figures. It is a 3 Couple Circle dance. There is no progression in this dance. It is a mixer. The dance lasts 96 bars. It is in the key: B minor. Someone thought this dance was Intermediate.

The tune is Tourner á Trois composed by Paul Machlis, and was performed by Reunion (Barbara Greenberg, Daniel Beerbohm and Jonathan Jensen) on the album New Friends.

The animation plays at 117 counts per minute. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color.

The dance contains the following figures: hand turn (allemande), turn single, gypsy, circle, hands across, rights and lefts, back to back (and probably others).

If you find what you believe to be a mistake in this animation, please leave a comment on youtube explaining what you believe to be wrong. If I agree with you I shall do my best to fix it.
